What is the best time of year to have engagement photos taken? It’s usually the first question I hear after clients book with me. The question you should be asking yourself is, ‘what do we want to wear for our photos?’ Knowing the answer to that question will help you pick the season! Some couples feel their best in summer attire, where others feel more at home in cozy fall sweaters. Keep on reading, but know that feeling comfortable is the most important thing when it comes to scheduling your engagement photos.
Atlanta is full of beautifully unique places, full of art and light. To show you that photos can be beautiful no matter the season, I’m taking you on a tour of Piedmont Park. I meet most of my couples at Park Tavern, a popular bar and restaurant settled on the edge of the park. In the winter it houses an ice skating rink. In the summer it keeps the cold drinks flowing for thirsty park goers. With the Beltline only steps away, and a Park big enough to shoot 100 sessions, it’s easy to see why this is an Atlanta favorite!
It’s a bit normal to nervous to be in front of the camera at first,
but jitters will soon fade away as you fall into step with each other and the city.
Spring is one of my favorite seasons! The chill of winter has faded and love just feels good here.
Summer is definitely warm down here in Georgia, but if you love bright and bold
and don’t mind the heat, this is totally the season for you!
Fall is definitely the favorite season for a lot of couples.
The weather feels crisp and the leaves begin to change.
Really want to cozy up next to your fiancé? Plan your shoot for winter, when layers and cuddles abound!
I hope this helps you when it comes to deciding which season to schedule your engagement session! Still looking for a photographer? Chances are if you’re reading this, we’re probably a going to be a great fit! Click the Connect tab and let’s meet!
